by Mrs. B from Virtuous Daughters, June/July 2020~Volume 20, Number 2 You ask me how to raise a virtuous daughter?
I sit and ponder that thought I look back to babyhood To days of togetherness Teaching and training Real life Learning patience and consistency Together Learning to be kind, to love the Lord To use an inside voice… To put Jesus first, others second and yourself last. To read His word daily To discuss it Together To obey Daddy To sing joyfully To pray for our family, our friends, church and leaders Together To have fun and enjoy life Time uninterrupted Together To cook, camp, hike, do crafts, ride bikes, To read and more Together To learn service, help a neighbor, cook a meal, to sew a project, offer a helping hand Together Now, I’m a grandma. It’s hard to believe Two young women still at home To still teach and learn and grow Together We pray for each other We help each other We have fun together We grow together I thank the Lord for His many blessings For all He has given me For these precious daughters! They are His I have tried to raise them For Him For His glory Alone. Comments are closed.
