by Tiffany S. from Virtuous Daughters, December 2006~Volume 6, Number 9 Christmas—what a special time of year! For many, it is a favorite holiday. But the meaning goes far beyond cookies, music, and presents. It’s about the risen Christ Who has come to this world to save us from our sins. That is something to be excited about!
Even though most of us are quite aware of this wonderful news, we occasionally take it for granted and do not joyfully share it with others. But Christmas is a time when we have ample opportunity to proclaim Christ’s birth, death, resurrection, and the Gospel message. by Amelia G. from Virtuous Daughters, December 2017/January 2018~Volume 17, Number 5 Christmas is my favorite holiday! As Christmas time comes around, we begin to plan what to give to our family, or our relatives, or our friends. But do you ever think of giving a gift to Jesus? After all, it is His birth that we are celebrating at Christmas. Now you may be asking yourselves, “Give a gift to Jesus; how can I do that?” It is impossible to give Jesus a tangible gift, but what about the gift of YOU? Could we not surrender our entire lives to Him and be prepared with the armor of God to go anywhere, at any time, and do everything for His glory? by Cheryl S. from Virtuous Daughters, December 2003~Volume 3, Number 9 Darling Virtuous Daughters,
Would you like to give a gift really special this Christmas? Well, I have a challenge for you. It is a gift that you will give someone, yet they will never open it. It is the gift of Jesus' love! |
