by Tiffany S. from Virtuous Daughters, December 2006~Volume 6, Number 9 Christmas—what a special time of year! For many, it is a favorite holiday. But the meaning goes far beyond cookies, music, and presents. It’s about the risen Christ Who has come to this world to save us from our sins. That is something to be excited about!
Even though most of us are quite aware of this wonderful news, we occasionally take it for granted and do not joyfully share it with others. But Christmas is a time when we have ample opportunity to proclaim Christ’s birth, death, resurrection, and the Gospel message. Here I would like to share with you an idea of a way to do that. by Tiffany S. from Virtuous Daughters, November 2001~Volume 1, Number 8 & November 2003~Volume 3, Number 8 It’s that time of the year again when we give thanks to our gracious Lord and Savior for all that He has done in our lives! Lovingly for Brittany by Brittany S. from Virtuous Daughters, July 2006~Volume 6, Number 4 Dear Sisters,
The Bible says, “young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands that that word of God be not blasphemed.”—Titus 2:4–5 How can we apply to these verses? We can apply to part of these verses by babysitting. Babysitting does not only mean that you babysit children when the parents are gone. You can babysit children when the parents are there too. I know probably some of you girls aren’t allowed to babysit when your parents are away from home, and I'm not allowed to either... by Brittany S. from Virtuous Daughters, July 2008~Volume 8, Number 4 Dear Virtuous Daughters,
One thing God has been teaching me lately is to apply Galatians 6:2 to my life. “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” It is easy to go on with life and only think about ourselves, but I have been trying to think about others instead. Sometimes I don’t want to “bear one another’s burdens,” but then I remember Galatians 6:2 and do it. After all, you can’t argue the Bible! |
