"Be an Example"

An example you are,
To those watching you--
Will their eyes see
Someone faithful and true?
 
Will they be encouraged
To do what is right--
To follow the Lord,
And live in His light?
 
Let’s be like the disciples
Of whom they did say
“They’ve been with Jesus,”
It’s plain, by their ways.
 
And while we’re an example
For others to see
Remember Christ’s pattern,
Of what we should be!
 
1 Peter 2:21—“For even hereunto were ye called:
​because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example . . .”
