by Naomi Grace B. from Virtuous Daughters, April 2015~Volume 15, Number 1 More lovely than pearls
With luster untold More precious than rubies More wondrous than gold. Her beauty is more Than long, lovely hair, Than beautiful eyes, Oh, it’s much more there. It’s a quiet submission With gentle, sweet meekness; A spirit of love, A tongue full of kindness. Rather than fine dresses, Strength, honor adorn her, And this she rejoices in, God’s Word says so sure. Her hands help her family, And reach out to the poor, Entertains the stranger Who comes to her door. She’s always serving, The bread of idleness she’ll never eat, Her moments are not wasted, That fly by so fleet. Her family may trust her, They may never fear, And when they need her, She always is near! Favor’s deceitful, Beauty is vain-- But if you fear God, Praise you will gain! Comments are closed.
