In a small bowl, combine yeast, 2 T. sugar, and 1 c. water; set aside. In a saucepan, combine 1 c. sugar, 1 c. water, and butter; warm until butter is melted. Let cool until just slightly warm. Then add eggs, salt, and yeast mixture. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead for 10 minutes, then let rise until doubled, about 4-5 hours, or place the dough in the refrigerator overnight. Punch down dough and shape into 2-inch balls; place balls in greased 9x13 in. pans and let rise until doubled, about 2-3 hours. Bake at 350 until golden brown, about 25-30 minutes.
