Power-Packed Green Smoothie

from Virtuous Daughters, March 2013~Volume 12, Number 12

  • 1 apple              
  • 1 banana         
  • 1/2 c. any other fruit you like (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, etc.)
  • 1/2 c. chopped spinach or collard greens
  • 1 tsp. Fresh gingerroot, minced            
  • 2 T. flaxseeds
  • 1 T. sesame seeds                  
  • 1/4 c. almonds, raw
  • 1/4 c. raisins              
  • 2 tsp. Hemp protein powder
  • 2 tsp. Spirulina powder (1 tsp., if too strong for you)            
  • enough water to make it the consistency you like
 
Put all ingredients into a blender in the order that they are written & blend on high for about 3-5 minutes or until smooth. Enjoy immediately!
