Pecan Pie

from Virtuous Daughters, December 2014~Volume 14, Number 9
  • 3 eggs                         
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted         
  • 1 c. dark corn syrup           
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 (9 inch) pie crust
  • 1 c. pecan halves

Beat eggs until light. Slowly beat sugar into eggs. Add melted butter, dark corn syrup, vanilla, and salt. Pour into pie shell and bake at 300 for 30-45 minutes. Completely cover pie with whole pecan pieces. Return to bake at 350 for another 10-15 minutes. Yield: 8 servings
