by Paula from Virtuous Daughters, October 2012~Volume 12, Number 7 These delicious cookies were made by a very dear lady whom the Lord brought into our lives just by a simple phone call. She is a 94-year “young” lady who lives by herself out in the country and loves to have visitors. We are always treated with her delicious baked goods and we always sing for our “supper.” I know you’ll enjoy these cookies as much as we did; I think you’d even sing for them too! Makes 2 dozen
In large mixing bowl, blend brown sugar, butter, eggs, & vanilla. Add baking soda, cream of tartar, and flour to the sugar mixture; blend thoroughly and then fold in walnuts. Roll into balls, place on cookie sheet and press down lightly. Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. They should not look brown, not even golden brown. Makes 2 dozen Comments are closed.
