Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles

12/1/2021

by Emily B.
from Virtuous Daughters, December 2010~Volume 10, Number 9

This recipe is easy to make and it serves as a great treat to share with friends, family, and neighbors at Christmas. See if your younger siblings would like to help roll the dough into little balls for you to dip into the chocolate!

  • 1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 14-oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. mini chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 lbs. chocolate (chips or coating wafers)

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add flour, milk, and vanilla. Mix well. Stir in chips. Shape into small balls (3/4”), and place on foiled baking pan. Chill in refrigerator. Dip in melted chocolate and return to baking pan and chill in refrigerator. Remove to an airtight container when hardened and store in refrigerator. Or, package into gift baggies to share! Can be frozen, also. Makes 5 1/2 dozen.
