Best Sugar Cookies

• 3 c. all-purpose flour          
• 1 tsp. baking soda                
• 1 tsp. baking powder
• 1/8 tsp. salt                           
• 1 ½ c. sugar                           
• 1 c. butter, soft     
• 2 eggs                                    
• 1 tsp. vanilla extract           
• 1/2 tsp. lemon extract

 
Stir together first five ingredients in a large bowl. Cut in butter. In a separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients until light and fluffy. Pour into dry mixture and mix well. Chill for 1 hour or until dough is firm. Preheat oven to 350. Bake for 10-12 minutes.

​The absolute best sugar cookie ever!  No joke!  This is also a great recipe for cookie decorating. Yields: 1 dozen
